Kids in Japan will soon be wearing school uniform blazers fitted with global positioning system transceivers, allowing parents to track their whereabouts on a laptop. The uniform, made by Ogo-Sangyo based in Kurashiki, went on sale on 13 April.

Thanks for your comments Blu, I really appreciate them, and apologies for not replying back to you sooner.
As for this story, well its just scary really. I guess I can see the positives (ability to find children if lost), but all of that is kind of a minor thing compared to the negatives (erm... invasion of privacy!).
Either way its always good to treat children like trackable security vans!
